On Saturday 16th March the annual Lakeside v Marysville challenge will be played and on Saturday 23rd March the Tour Elephants golf group will play their challenge game. Members are asked to register with Heather Jenkins to play in these challenges who, for catering arrangements, needs to know the number of people playing.
Last Thursday 6 Marysville ladies played in the ladies bowl at the Hidden Valley Golf Club in Wallan. With an 8.30 tee off the ladies had an early start and a long journey to reach Wallan in time and we thank them for representing Marysville at this Dalhousie event. Whilst they didn’t bring home any trophies a number of the Marysville ladies received Dalhousie Player of the Year points. The ladies Dalhousie event this week is the Seymour Bowl and on the 14 March the Marysville ladies will host their Bowl.
On Friday 8 March from 4.00 -8.00 pm another evening of Barefoot Bowls will be held at the club. For just $5 a head everyone, locals and visitors, are welcome to go along and enjoy a social game of bowls, catch up with friends, have a drink at the bar and eat some complimentary snacks. All equipment is supplied and no experience is required.
