With members away holidaying and searching for warmer climes, some nursing injuries and others deciding to stay by the fire the playing numbers are traditionally down during the winter months but those who did play on Saturday enjoyed a stableford game on the well-prepared course. The winner of the men’s competition was Peter Lilley(14) with 37 points followed by Mark Bambery (24) with 34 points. The ladies winner was Jody Doran (12) with 36 points and Gail Leigh (10) was the runner up with 32 points. The nearest the pins were won by Mark Bambery on the 9th, Jody Doran on the 11th and Colin Davies on the 18th. Mark also won the Golden Shot. Next Saturday golfers will play a stableford round.
Most of the Dalhousie events are in recess but the Dalhousie Ladies and Men’s Championships are being held at Broadford Golf Club on Sunday 11th August . Any member who wishes to play in the Championships are asked to book through Trybooking.
