Events such as these take an enormous amount of planning and organization. Captain Alan Howard and his wife Helen do not live locally. They therefore stayed in their caravan near the course for 3 days in order to be on hand to coordinate the event. All members thanked Alan and Helen for their commitment to the club and for the smooth running of the tournament. At the presentations all members who contributed in so many ways including with course maintenance, catering and raffle donations were thanked. Finally thanks were given to all those visitors who played over the three days some of whom had traveled long distances to do so. Tournaments such as these are major fundraising days for the host club and it is appreciated when support is given by players from other clubs.

Last Thursday was wet and cold and the Thursday nine holers didn’t play. The ladies who played in the Seymour Tournament got soaked before the event was abandoned and rescheduled for Dec.7th. This week ladies will play at Lancefield and Kilmore.

Next Saturday both the men and the ladies will play a Par round and after play the ladies golf section will hold their AGM.
