Last Saturday before play the Marysville golfers held a one minute silence to honour Jarrod Lyle the Australian golfer who died of leukemia last week at the age of 36. Those golfers who were brave enough to play in wet and cold conditions played a mixed stroke round. The winner was Andrew O’Shea (5) with nett 70. The runner up was Sabrina Stow (23) with nett 72 on a countback from Steve Coker (19). Nearest the pins were won by Adam Littlejohn who also won the putting with 26 putts and Gail Leigh who also won the Golden Shot. Next week the first round of the inaugural mixed match play will be held. Those who are not playing match play will play a stableford round.
The Thursday nine holers played stableford on the front nine holes. The winner with 20 points was Brian Worcester on a countback from Liz Amos. No player was able to reach the green from the tee on the fourth hole.
